09-09-10 Picks - NFL Opener - (1-2) A tad shabby for our taste

So much for Thursday's anticipation, our Over NFL pick went down the drain fast as both offenses seemed out of whack and touch. We certainly expect more out of these two squads on their next games if they plan to mimic last season's prowess.

The same can be said about the Temple Central Michigan game, these teams are usually around the high 20s however for some reason they were not able to mustard enough offense to even graze the 48.5 Over hanging on this one.

Our Lonesome winner that avoided us from hitting a "Golden Sombrero" was the War Eagle Auburn Tigers which improved their record to 2-0 and seem quite decent defensively. We'll have to wait and see, but it's a good sign so far.

September 9th, FINALLY!!! the NFL season is here to stay, we already miss it as it feels that is slips so fast and it's over before you know it. Let's savor it to the fullest extent by having consistent winners every week.

Tonight's action has the NFC Division contenders Minnesota Vikings visiting the current Superbowl Champions New Orleans Saints. Odds have the Saints as a -5.5 favorite, last year's line was -3.5 which did not cover as the Saints won by a squeaker on a field goal.

We like the Over +48.5 on this one, as we'll watch closely how both teams keep their hegemony after off season injuries on both squads.


On the college games we've got 2:

Auburn at Mississipi St. and Central Michigan at Temple.
